I think, this is still one of the most beautiful places on Murano: you are standing on one of the main islands, Navagero in this case, looking out over the Grand Canal di Murano and seeing San Donato to the right and San Stefano and San Pietro to the left. In the back of the picture is the Ponte Longo. There you have it all in view!
Certainly, you could sit on the terrace of the posh hotel on the other bank of the canal. But there the caffè is sinfully expensive. And the view is not much different. When I visit Lucia, I always take a quick breath at this point and admire our beautiful island.
